BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT ANALYST |
A motivated and enthusiastic individual is required by a leading CRO for an internal sales support and proposal development rôle. This is a position with European scope based out of the company's UK offices in the South West. The majority of work will be completed in an office envrionment although occasional travel will be required. This is a broad rôle with involvement in budget development, proposal writing, contract negotiation and project management of the whole proposal process. You will work closely with Account Directors to manage the preparation of proposals for cornerstone company accounts. Occasionally you may also be required to support the Account Director in a selling rôle. A competitive remuneration package is available including relocation, pension, healthcare, life assurance, 25 days holiday. This is a rare and exciting opportunity to contribute to the improvement of the proposal process and top line sales!
To be considered for this position you must be educated to BSc level in either a business or science subject with at least two years' experience in a similar rôle within a CRO. You will be a self starter with a high level of commercial awareness and business acumen. |
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT ANALYST |
In this newly created role you will manage and lead a team of proposal analysts in the UK, Germany and Australia! The main focus of this role is line management although you will still be required to input into the proposal development process from a strategic perspective. Reporting into the US you will be the senior manager within Europe and as such will be involved in the project management of full service proposals along with senior managers from other departments.
Previous line management experience is essential along with extensive knowledge of the proposal process. |

An exciting opportunity exists within a global CRO for an experienced business developer to sell its phase I/IIa services to pharmaceutical and biotech clients across the UK. Our client has a reputation for excellence in phase II-IV development and is looking for a high calibre individual to raise the profile of their early development services, enabling them to offer their clients a full range of development services on a worldwide level. As the only business developer within early phase development your initial responsibilities will be to generate revenue in line with corporate goals, through a mix of new and existing account work. In the future there will be the opportunity to contribute to the improvement and expansion of the current facilities as well as the set up of a dedicated business development team selling the service into Europe. An excellent benefits package is available including car, pension, healthcare, life assurance and competitive commission scheme.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of selling phase I CRO services within the UK for a minimum of three years. This rôle will suit an individual with excellent customer relationship skills and the ability to structure and close commercial deals. There will be extensive travel involved in this rôle and the ideal candidate will be based within one hour of the Midlands. |
